i have no way of knowing who has and who hasn't looked at this carrd. if someone hasn't, i obviously don't expect them to know all my boundaries. but, since you're reading this, please do the kind thing and respect them. much appreciated <3<3if you yume xun yu (doubtful, but still) kindly don't interact with me. feel free to browse my shrine and even use it as inspo, but i'm non-sharing and don't plan on changing that anytime soon, so i don't want to see any doubles. thank you!!even if you don't yume xun yu, please don't use romantic terms of endearment towards him around me (husband, boyfriend, love, etc). however, i'm perfectly fine with people commenting on his looks (handsome, beautiful, pretty, etc) - though for the latter, i may jokingly say something like "back off he's mine" or "he's already married", stuff like that.i've become very picky about canon/canon xun yu ships. some ships that i’m ok with are xun yu/eighth genius, xun yu/jia xu, xun yu/sima yi, and xun yu/guo jia. ones that i like less, but don't vehemently hate, are yuan fang/xun yu and zhang liao/xun yu. i've come to like canon/canon ships less and less as i've leaned more into the whole yumeshipping thing, so i'm veeery particular about ship content (i also really don't like bottom xun yu, so him being in the first slot of the first few listed ships is important).xun yu is dying very soon in RoT, which i'm distraught about. please make few to no jokes about this to me, and please don't mock his death once he's gone.

a lot of stuff about my yumeverse is private and is something that i'd like to keep to myself, but i figured i'd share the basics of the story heremy yumesona's name is cao shala (曹纱蜡). she's a foster daughter of cao cao who is adopted at around twelve years old when her father, cao zhi's tutor, dies of old age; he and her mother, who died during childbirth, had her at an unusually old age. while she has distant and relatives, she’d grown very close to cao ang, cao pi, cao zhang, and cao zhi, and her father was once a classmate and friend of cao cao's, so cao cao and her family agree for him to take her in, and she becomes a cao.of her brothers, she's closest to cao zhi ("zhi-xiong"), who's her age, and she’s also very close with cao xiu ("xiu-di"), a cousin who's a bit younger. she had a good relationship with cao ang ("ang-gege") before his death, and while she was close to cao pi and cao zhang ("pi-ge" and "zhang-ge") growing up, her relationships with them get a bit distant as they age and become young men. she has a strong relationship with xiahou dun and xiahou yuan ("dun-shushu" and "yuan-shushu"). both taught her some basic martial skills - much to cao cao's annoyance - though most of her knowledge fades because she has no need for it. she doesn't see lady zhen ("fu-jie") often, but the two get along well.xun gun and cao cao eventually arrange a marriage between their children; xun gun to more closely tie the xun clan to cao cao's ever-growing power, and cao cao to give him 'eyes on the inside' should xun yu ever turn on him (the marriage is arranged shortly after cao cao rescues emperor xian, when he realises where xun yu's true loyalties lay).cao shala is resentful towards cao cao for the arranged marriage, and as she falls in love with xun yu, that resentment stays, but it changes - now, she's resentful because she doesn't want to spy on her husband, even for her family's sake (this is, admittedly, my way of putting my hatred for cao cao into my yumesona's story). a significant moment in cao shala’s and xun yu’s relationship is when, the first time xun yu returns home from the field, cao shala gives him an embroidered robe that she'd worked on in the weeks that he was gone. this is her way of repaying his gift of gold koi fish earrings accented with freshwater pearls (a pair of earrings that i have irl), which he had given to her before he left, because he wanted to give her a personal, person-to-person gift outside of her bride price).while lady tang is xun yu's historical wife, she has not been mentioned in RoT, so in my yumeverse, cao shala is xun yu's one and only wife. they find themselves unable to conceive, and xun yu refuses to take another wife or a concubine/consort, much to xun gun's frustration. as such, xun yu's historical son, xun yun (who is confirmed to exist in RoT, but who has not been seen) is their foster son (and he doesn't marry cao cao's daughter, princess anyang, as he does historically - for obvious reasons). xun yun is actually from cao shala's paternal birth family, with the family's matriarch arranging for xun yu and cao shala to adopt him after his parents both die of illness.along with resenting cao cao, cao shala also comes to resent cao zhi and cao pi because of the friction of the cao succession crisis, and stops communicating with either one for quite a while. she distrusts yang xiu and hates that he is her favourite brother's closest friend and trusted advisor. yang xiu also dislikes her, because he thinks her desire to see cao pi inherit the throne (because it's tradition and would stop the clan in-fighting) will make cao zhi soft and worthless. they are curt and a little snippy towards one another, though neither will stoop to obvious insults, especially since they only ever see each other in public places where they can’t afford to be outright rude. cao zhi is aware of their mutual dislike towards one another, but tries to ignore it on the rare occasion that the two meet.in my yumeverse, i see both cao shala and xun yu as cis and bisexual (their marriage is fully monogamous and neither has a partner of either the same or the opposite sex).
